I decided to purchase the Holga lens for $19 plus shipping and handling for those moments were I just wanted to have some fun. The lens is a listed as being 60mm and f8, though as you will see below I cannot be anywhere near that! Other sources have reported it as being about f22.
Since I have been in a bit of a creative rut, and have not been doing much touring were I could put tighter enough content to write a blog. https://hereeload787.weebly.com/turbo-taucher-alpha-mac-os.html. I figured I would take a few days, do a couple of local photowalks and play with the Holga, both on my 7D, and 5DMKIII. The lens marking on the front of the lens would indicate that it was an EF-S mount, and not an EF mount. Though other sources have demonstrated it working on an EF mount as well. So if I had to destroy a mirror in my testing, better it not be my primary body.
Day 1 – Which really started the night before, I walked down to Sinyongsan station with the 7D before sunset with the intention of going down to the Han.
This is the statue outside of the Ibis building. Taken at ISO 6400, with a shutter speed of 1/30thof a second. I am using a third-party Kodachrome 24 preset in Lighroom. The center is the sharpest, with noticeable fallout at the corners, very grainy, and a lot of chromatic aberration, but still a useful picture. Since the image in the viewfinder is so hard to see, you have to frame and focus mostly by trial and error. I was not able to get down to the Han river before the sun went down, with the difficulties I had in the pre-sunset light, I knew it would be hopeless and called it a night.
The next day I woke up before sunrise, and decided go try for some pictures of Namsan on the Samgakji bridge.

These 2 pictures are part of a statue, with different crops, and post processing. I really like the black and white photo. Again, you really have to work to get any kind of decent photo from this lens, focusing and zooming with your feet.

Day 2 – After photographing Namsan, I decided to take my next photo walk to the top! So this time with the Holga on my 5DMKIII, I boarded the local green bus to the Hyatt Hotel, and hiked from there.
At the trailhead and the very first picture taken with the 5D Mark III, at ISO 6400, 1/200th Fresh cuts mac os. of a second. Realizing right away that this was going to be an interesting and trying day. Notice the vignetting around the corners is much more pronounced on the full frame sensor, there is relatively clear center then the light falls of dramatically from there.

The lens did seem to perform fairly well in portrait orientation.
You could use the vignetting in the right place to further isolate your subject, Downtoearth mac os.
At f22, you can use really low shutter speeds, but without any real sharpness in the lens, the waterfall looks quite a mess.
The one thing I was quite surprised with, is how vibrant the color red and deep orange are.
With patience and trial and error, it is possible to get some passible photo's, and are good for a conversation piece
Again, I think the lens does better in portrait orientation than landscape. Mixups by powgi mac os.
With a little bit of work in post processing with Lightroom, you can get some decent images, this might make a decent trip portrait, if you are into this kind of washed out vintage look, however there are smart phone apps that provide filters that work in a much more predictable way.
However, this is mostly a lens just for fun, something to experiment with, it did get me out of my photo slump, and taught me to have a bit more patience to get the image in focus with a manual only lens, and control my frustration of not really being able to use my viewfinder, as the image was so dark. If nothing else it gave me a change to not take my photography or my blog so seriously for once.
I do think it works more on an APS-C camera, even though it will work on full frame. I do not think this lens is something I will be using very often, but it was fun, and you certainly can't beat the price.
